Google Questions: What is event Promo?

We provide an answer to the top Google question on the topic of Event Promotion

Event promotion is the process of marketing an event in order to increase attendance and visibility. It involves capturing attention, generating interest and encouraging people to attend the event. The ultimate goal is to get more people to show up than you would without a promotional campaign.
Event promotion is an important part of event planning and management. Not only does it help make people aware of the event and generate interest in attendance, but it also helps create excitement and anticipation for the event. Effective event promotion requires creating and delivering a message that compels people to show up.
Event promotion can be done in many different ways depending on the type of event, audience, and resources available. Traditional methods include TV, radio, and print advertisements, as well as posters, flyers, and word of mouth. With the rise of digital media, social media and other digital platforms are also increasingly being used to promote events.
In addition to raising awareness and interest, event promotion can also be used to secure sponsorships and secure ticket sales. It is important to think carefully about what types of promotional materials to use based on the demographics and interests of the target audience. For example, for an event intended for a young audience, you may want to focus your efforts on Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram. Or, for a more traditional audience, TV commercials might be a better choice.
When it comes to event promotion, it’s essential to have a plan and ensure that it is properly executed. A good plan will help ensure that the right people know about your event, that the right message is being delivered, and that the relevant resources are being used effectively.
At Mountain Star Management, we can assist with the planning and execution, just give us a call! If you have any questions about promoting your own event, we are also happy to provide consultation. Happy promoting!

Just a Reminder, You are Worth Success.

We have all felt that our work isn't good enough, imposter syndrome may be to blame.

According to Wikipedia:

“It has been estimated that nearly 70% of individuals will experience signs and symptoms of imposter phenomenon at least once in their life. This can be a result of a new academic or professional setting. Research shows that impostor phenomenon is not uncommon for students who enter a new academic environment. This can lead to lower self-confidence and belief in their own abilities.”

Change brings new obstacles. The pandemic brought many changes. Maybe you've achieved your career goals only to have the pandemic force you to change careers. If not the pandemic, perhaps another factor is at play. Perhaps you are not being recognized for your skills. Perhaps a colleague has started directly challenging you and trying to minimize your efforts.

"Everyone has something of value to offer. Everyone."

The industry tells musicians we're talented, blessed for our gift, and that we've "caught a break" when we succeed. We work hard to achieve our goals, but no one can see it. Imposter syndrome may be fueled by this. Competition is fierce, but before you compare yourself to others, remember that just as others cannot see the hard work that makes your passion flourish, you cannot see what goes on behind the scenes of others' success. There is often missing information that makes the comparison unfair. This is especially true when looking for information on social media, as so many of us do.

Remember, everyone has something of value to offer. Everyone. The key is finding it, defining it, and redefining it when necessary. We call this positioning in marketing. If you start feeling like an imposter, remember why you do what you do. Ask yourself: Would you be happier doing something that was easy, that you disliked, or that others convinced you to do? Usually, the answer is no. You are happiest pursuing your passion, no matter the obstacles. Once you recognize that your passion is worth pursuing because you love it, not because of the validation you do or don’t receive, and that comparisons to your work are often unfair, you can get around obstacles that unexpected changes throw your way. If you are struggling to reposition your brand to overcome obstacles and industry changes, or need help seeing the value in your work, reach out to us. We may be able to offer insight with a brand assessment.

Be well, star.

Blue Cactus Opens!

El Nopal's Blue Cactus Listening Room in Pueblo, Colorado is sure to be a favorite amongst lovers of good music and good Mexican food.

El Nopal Restaurant is a Bessemer favorite and has been a neighborhood staple for over half a century! The owner, George, plays guitar and his love of music led him and his friend, who is a sound engineer, to open a new listening room.

Since the pandemic, El Nopal has been closed for sit down dining, but the new room will allow sit down dining for all concert attendees.

This is what they had to say in their announcement on Facebook:

"We are excited to announce that next month we will be opening a new room at El Nopal. El Nopal Restaurant's Blue Cactus Room live music venue. A small intimate music listening room to relax and enjoy a few drinks, good eats and bands from all over Colorado. We've built a professional stage and installed a top notch sound system."

The first listening experience is their weekly open mic that starts on March 24, 2022, hosted by our own Andrea Flanagan!

It is sure to be a great time so come join us for some great food, cold drinks, and some of Pueblo's great musical talent!
